PTFE Film Tape, 1/4" x 36 yd, 5 mil. A certified A-A-59474D TYPE I, CLASS 4 PTFE film tape with 5 mil backing thickness, 6.8 mil total tape thickness. Provides excellent dielectric strength (17.8kV) over a wide termperature range. Ideal for use in aerospace and electrical applications. PTFE backing provides low friction that promotes quick movement of materials. Impervious to most chemicals, including acids, solvents, fuels and most alkalies. Prevents electrolyic corrosion of dissimilar metals. Masks parts placed in chemical cleaning or electroplating solutions. UL-510 and CSA C-22-2 certified.
