Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film tape is a fluorocarbon plastic with excellent tensile strength and an extremely low elongation used in a wide variety of industries. This fabric can handle temperatures ranging from -100F to + 500F. The PTFE material is USDA approved for food handling and processing. Usual applications include packaging, building products, chemical processing, printing and textiles, food products, and polymer processing. This fabric has more abrasion resistance and maintains a low coefficient of friction after prolonged service. The textured exterior offers a mechanical bond or seal, which is preferred in most heat applications.
